Ball Watch Company Fireman Ionosphere

The Fireman Ionosphere is the result of cooperation between Ball and NASA astronaut Owen Garriott. Garriott used his experience in extreme situations to help Ball engineers design this timepiece. The watch is easy to read because of the impressive, 43-millimetre case. It is equipped with Swiss-made Valjoux 7750 automatic calibre that has 25 bearing jewels. The timepiece is protected from shock and water penetration. Dial elements are illuminated through the use of 19 self-powered micro gas tubes that glow 100 times brighter than luminous paint. The chronograph's accumulated measurements reach up to 12 hours. Additional functionalities include a day and date display at 3 o'clock, sweep seconds, screwed-in crown, engraved case back and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
